Refined Parenting - Terms & Privacy Policy
Terms
1. What This Service Offers
This service provides one-to-one, non-urgent parenting support from birth to age five, with a focus on the first two years. Topics may include sleep, feeding, routines, development, behaviour, and adjusting to life with a new baby or toddler. It is not a medical or emergency service.
2. How Support Is Delivered
Appointments are held by video or voice call. Ongoing support (if included) may be offered through a mix of video, phone, or email check-ins — depending on your plan and what suits you best.
3. Media & Image Sharing
Please do not send unsolicited photos or videos. This service does not include image-based assessments, and we will never request or review images of sensitive areas. If you require an image-based assessment during a live call, we will guide you to your GP or appropriate service. We do not offer advice based on appearance, as visuals cannot always be assessed accurately in a virtual setting.
4. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
Full payment is required at the time of booking. You may cancel up to 48 hours in advance for a refund. Because time is reserved specifically for you, refunds are not available once support has started. You’re welcome to reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice (subject to availability).
5. Scope & Safeguarding
This is a supportive, parent-focused space — not a replacement for in-person care. If something falls outside the scope of parenting advice, we will guide you to the appropriate service. We follow safeguarding standards. If we ever had a serious concern about a child’s wellbeing, we would be open with you and take appropriate steps to keep everyone safe.
6. Confidentiality & Data Protection
Your information is treated with care and in line with GDPR. Nothing will be shared without your consent unless required by safeguarding or legal obligations. All consultations are provided on a confidential basis and may not be recorded, reproduced, or distributed in any form, whether audio, video, or otherwise, without the express prior written consent of Refined Parenting & Wellbeing Ltd. Any unauthorised recording constitutes a material breach of these terms and may result in the immediate termination of services.
7. Use of Resources
Any handouts or written materials shared with you are for your personal use only. Please do not copy, share, or adapt them without permission.
8. Limitations of Liability
Refined Parenting & Wellbeing Ltd provides information and guidance based on current professional standards and evidence. However, all advice is general in nature and should not be taken as a substitute for individual medical advice, emergency care, or a clinical diagnosis. You remain responsible for the choices you make for yourself and your child. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any loss, injury, damage, or claim arising from your use of the service, unless caused by proven negligence or misconduct. This includes, but is not limited to, indirect or consequential loss, or failure to follow guidance provided.
9. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to withdraw services at any time if we believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to: inappropriate behaviour, misuse of advice, unauthorised recording or distribution of session content, or failure to comply with agreed policies. You may also withdraw from services at any time, though cancellation terms may apply depending on the stage of the booking. Any outstanding payments remain due.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
By continuing with your booking, you confirm you’ve read and agreed to these terms.
