Child Development Review
Exploring your child's development and social-emotional wellbeing
How You're Supported
Shortly after booking, you'll receive a short parent prep sheet to help you observe your child's play and skills in the lead-up to our session. This gives your child a fair chance to show where they’re at and means we can use the session to go through the questions together and discuss next steps. We’ll use two trusted screening tools: the Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and the Social Emotional ASQ:SE to look at key areas including: 🗣️ Communication ⚽ Gross motor skills ✍️ Fine motor skills 🧮 Problem-solving 🧠 Social interaction and Emotional development During the session, we'll review your responses and begin discussing your child's development in more detail. Both questionnaires will be scored and we'll follow up with: Personalised activity ideas A clear plan for what to do next if needed Learning ideas for the next stage if your child is meeting all milestones You can book this review at any age from 1 month up to 5 years. Most children only get one or two checks through that whole stage, but this gives you the option to look more closely at your child’s development whenever you need to. Please note: You may be advised to contact your NHS Health Visitor or GP if further assessment or support is appropriate.
