Newborn Sleep Foundations
Not sleep training. This is early, preventative sleep guidance for babies aged 0 to 12 weeks.
How You're Supported
Structured sleep training is not considered appropriate at this stage, as babies' sleep cycles and regulatory systems are still developing. There's currently no evidence to support using sleep training methods in the first few months of life. In this session, we'll focus on what you can support now. We'll help you better understand newborn sleep, explore what's safest (including safe sleep and how to reduce risks if you're bedsharing), respond in a way that feels manageable, and lay healthy foundations for later. The goal is for you to leave this session feeling lighter, more confident, and reassured about what's normal at this stage.
